How to Protect Your Floors in the Winter

wood floorsI love my apartment. It’s cozy, warm, and full of character. The molding around the walls is beautifully intricate and antique and the dark oak details and hand painted tiles in the kitchen make me smile just thinking about them. But, most of all, I love my hardwood floors. I have hardwood floors in every room and they are in amazing condition, especially considering the age of my building. However, with this winter’s “polar vortex”, my beautiful floors are suffering through the snow, ice and salt my dog and I drag in.

Roadtrip! Three Ways to Make the Drive to Your New Home Fun

roadtripWe talk all the time about how moving can be stressful for you and your family in many ways, whether you are moving yourself or working with a professional. For me, the packing and organizational aspects of moving seem less daunting as I gain more experience. But, in all honesty, the worst part of moving for me has always been the traveling aspect. It’s one thing to travel for fun (that I LOVE), but it is a whole different story when you know you have a ton of work to do at the end of your journey. Holman Moving Delivers 389 Pounds of Food to Food Bank of Delaware

Holman Moving Moves for HungerWell it’s official, the holidays are over and 2014 is in full swing. As you know, as part of our commitment to Move for Hunger, we hold a holiday food drive every year to benefit the local food bank. With the end of year rush, we wanted to extend our efforts into mid-January to help re-stock the shelves. This year, at the conclusion of our third annual holiday campaign to collect food for the Food Bank of Delaware, I am happy to report that our Delaware office raised 389 pounds of food! That’s 324 meals for people in need!

We’d like to send out a huge thank you to our local communities, our employees, and our customers who donated their unused pantry items to our efforts as well as our drivers who collect items all year round.

Thank you all again for your support. Every contribution, large or small, makes a huge impact on the lives of those in need.
