Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving! This is the time of year to be with family, friends, and loved ones and to reflect on all we are Happy Thanksgivinggrateful for. It’s also the time of year to lend a helping hand to those less fortunate. Small gestures can make a huge impact such as donating non-perishable food items to your local food bank, volunteering time at a shelter, or getting involved with a local charity or house of worship to distribute meals to your community.

At Holman we are grateful for our hard working and dedicated staff, the opportunity to work with amazing organizations such as Move for Hunger, and for our loyal friends and customers. We hope that you all have a very happy, safe, and delicious Thanksgiving!

Holman Moving Systems is Endorsed by MovingScam.com

Holman is very excited and honored to announce that we are officially an endorsed mover on MovingScam.com based on our history, reputation, and customer service reviews.

For the last 15 years, the volunteers at MovingScam.com have been working to help people avoid rogue movers and ensure a legitimate moving experience with quality professionals. That means that they help people who are moving connect with movers best suited to assist in their specific situation. Every move is different after all! Customers can also rely on MovingScam.com to answer questions and help educate themselves on how to handle their move. Volunteers include former consumers as well as professional working and retired movers.

In order to be endorsed by the site, companies must pass an extensive screening process that includes reviewing information on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, the BBB, various state associations, independent web sites across the web, MovingScam.com message boards, word of mouth, and in most cases on-site surveys.

Holman Moving Systems is thrilled to be endorsed by a site as dedicated to customer satisfaction and quality service as we are.

Oregon and South Carolina: Top Moving Destinations

It’s that time of year again: time to break down United Van Lines’ annual National Movers Study. Every year, for 39 years in a row now, United Van Lines conducts this survey in order to uncover migration patterns from state to state United Van Linesin the US. It’s always interesting to learn where people are moving from as well as where they are moving to. In the 2014 survey, Oregon held the title for “Top Moving Destination” for the second year in a row while the northeast experienced quite an exodus for reasons such as retirement and relocation (though in my opinion, it’s the cold that pushed people away). Now that 2015 has come to a complete close, let’s check out what this year’s survey has to say.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving! This is the time of year to be with family, friends, and loved ones and to reflect on all we are grateful for. It’s also the time of year to lend a helping hand to those less fortunate.  At Holman we are grateful for the opportunity to work with an amazing organization that does just that. Move for Hunger is one of the nation’s largest, year round service programs. They team with movers around the country to collect unwanted non-perishable pantry items (that are usually more expensive to move than to replace anyway) and deliver them to local food banks.

Additionally, we are always very grateful for our hard working and dedicated staff and for our loyal friends and customers. We hope that you all have a very happy, safe, and delicious Thanksgiving.

Happy Labor Day!

Labor DayIn the moving industry, Labor Day is the first sign of winding down after the busy summer season, but it is of course much, much more than that.

Labor Day is a day meant to recognize and celebrate the contributions that employees have made to the organizations they work for and the communities they live in.

Thank you to all of the Holman Moving Systems staff for all of your hard work and dedication to helping our customers all year round. And thank you to our amazing customers for making this summer yet another amazing season. We hope everybody has a wonderful, relaxing, and well-earned holiday.

Happy Labor Day!

At the close of every year, for the past 38 years, United Van Lines conducts a National Movers Survey to uncover migration patterns from state to state. I always find the survey to be very interesting and had a particular curiosity about it this time around since I myself moved out of state. So where are people moving to? Where are they moving from? And why are they moving?

Happy Holidays!

happy holidaysWe may be having some weird weather in the northeast, but that doesn’t mean our holiday spirit should suffer! So from the bottoms of our hearts here at Holman, we wish you the happiest of holidays from our family to yours.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving BasketsHappy Thanksgiving! This is the time of year to be with family, friends, and loved ones and to reflect on all we are grateful for. It’s also the time of year to lend a helping hand to those less fortunate. Last year, we were lucky enough to help the Highway Word of Faith Family Worship Center give out Thanksgiving meal ingredients to nearly 250 families. This year, I will be representing Holman on Thanksgiving morning at a local food bank in Tampa, volunteering and organizing donations.
