It’s that time of year again! By now you probably know we are committed to Move for Hunger, a non-profit organization that works with moving companies across the country to pick up unwanted, unopened food from those who are relocating and deliver it to local food banks across the country. We were honored to be the first mover in Delaware, and among the first movers in New Jersey, to join the program. To date, we have dropped more than 600 pounds of food to our food banks – the Food Bank of Delaware in New Castle, DE and the Center for Food Action in Englewood, New Jersey.
Last holiday season we ran a social media campaign to promote Move for Hunger and collect more donations. That campaign resulted in 400 pounds of food collected in only two months, which fed hundreds of people in our local If you are moving with us, or even if you just like us, here’s what you can do:
- Donate. If you are moving, please give your unwanted, unused non-perishable items to your Holman Moving driver. We will handle the rest!
- Like. Like our Facebook page! Holman Moving Systems will donate one can to the collection every time we get a new fan.
- Post. Head to our Facebook wall and tell us your favorite holiday tradition. Holman Moving Systems will donate three cans of food for every new post.

With communities still rebuilding from Hurricane Sandy, and the economy continuing to pressure families, people need our help now more than ever. We CAN make a difference if we work together. Let’s move out hunger this holiday season!
